Well, I've got my nice new ASI120MC-S, all linked via my usb3 port with the usb3 cable as supplied. Opened SharpCap and connected camera ok but...it comes up as "via usb2". I can get it to take 28-30 fps but no more.
The same thing happens with Firecapture however I've loaded SharpCap onto another newer laptop, connected it all up and, hey presto, it comes up as "via usb3". But....I still can't get any more than 28-30 fps. Hmmm, is this normal?? I thought that usb3 would be quite a lot quicker than usb2.
Any help and/or advice would be most welcome.
