Pause during exposure

Hello, pls advice if it is possible to pause a recording with as ASI1600 like this:

ASIStartExposure

ASIStopExposure

ASIStartExposure

ASIStopExposure

ASIGetDataAfterExp

Or maybe you hhave a better idea.

When I see heavy vibrations, I want to pause the exposure until the vibrations are gone.

Pls advice.

Hi Hugo，

I am not very sure of your meaning.

According to our design, When you call the ASIStartExposure, if you don't need to stop during the exposure, there is no need to call ASIStopExposure, just call ASIGetDataAfterExp directly after the exposure time is over.

If you want to stop it during the exposure, please use the ASIStopExposure to stop the current exposure. But please note that the next time you start exposure, it is another exposure that restarts, rather than continuing the previous exposure.

I need a way to shut the light to the camera with a shutter, like this one:

But you will see that the price is extreem high.

I will use it when heavy traffic is pasing my house.

So there is no way to temporary stop the exposure.

So I think what your mean is this: Start exposure, then if you meet the problem, close the external shutter to stop the light, but the exposure of the camera is still running, after the problem is solved, open the shutter until the exposure of the camera is over. Am I right?

If I am right, I can not help you. Like I said, the camera is always exposuring, there is only a difference in light. It is impossible for us to exposure but do not receive the light.
