ASIAIR power supply

Hi all.

I am wondering if I can use a 5V 2.1 amp battery pack to power my ASIAIR. I intend to use it with SkyGuider pro and Mini ZWO 120 on ZWOguider scope to guide the tracker.

I would use it to polar align and plate solve if need more accuracy.

The cameras will be self powered olympus or Nikon.

We have not tested on a 5V 2.1 amp battery pack.i think the voltage is safe to your Asiair.

It is better to make sure there is no low voltage reminder on you app

we often use the Portable lithium battery for the outdoor test

Some of its parameters：

battery capacity：6800Mah（One of the specifications）

The output voltage：12V

Output current：3A

Thanks for the reply. I will carry out a test run with 2.1amp. I do have a wattage meter to see how much power is consumed by system when on with AC 12v 3amp power supply. This may hopefully show that 2.1amp is enough. For my setup needs.

If memory serves, the original ASIAIR was a Raspberry Pi 3B+.

From the above table, it has a 1.2A accumulated current limit to the 4 USB ports. Each USB port on the Raspberry Pi 3 can handle up to 0.5A; you just cannot draw a full 0.5A from all four ports at the same time.

Assuming it has proper heat sinks, the 3A buck converter is probably not the limiting factor.
