Good Morning,
My first post. I hope my problem is not the result of my incompetence. I am very new at AP.
My main imaging camera (ZWO ASI294MC-PRO) works fine with the ASIAIR software and WO 132 FLT refractor. However, my ASI120MM guide camera with a 240 mm FL, 60mm aperture guide scope exhibits unusual behavior. If the focus is not very close to spot on, the ASIAIR software presents an all white or near white image. Even when the guide scope is capped. It does not matter whether the gain is high or low, or what the exposure setting is...no focus, all white screen. This behavior makes it very difficult to find focus, and when it is found the adjustment is very critical. This behavior did not occur when I first put the guide camera to work with the same guide scope months ago when I first set up my imaging system. I suspect a firmware update may have introduced the problem. I have tried adjusting some of the 120 camera properties, with no luck. When the focus is finally found, the guiding software locks on to a star correctly, performs calibration, and commences guiding just fine.
It seems like the guide software must see a focused star in the image or the screen is set to white
I have a second 120 camera and a spare ASIAIR, substituting either or both of them makes no difference.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Paul
