ASI air ?

Hi all

Have just bought ASIAIR

And have it connected to a Skywatcher NEQ6 via the SynScan hand controller .

Once the mount is polar aligned and I have done a three star alignment what do I have to do next to use ASIAIR ?

You will need the hand controller,and settings in ASIAIR as shown in the picture.

thanks for the reply

I have connected to SynScan and tablet as per your reply photo.

Also have control over the mount

But I do not know what to do after the three star alignment .

Should I try to sync after alignment ?.

At the moment my main imaging camera is not compatible with ASIAIR, I am looking forward to getting ASI294MC pro soon ,so will not be able to plate solve at the moment.

Hi Rob

Yes， plate solve is needed.

here is my steps below for your reference :

step 1 (main camera and guide camera)

step 2: PA(polar alignment）

step 3:(plate solve succeed and sync to mount)

step 4: select your object and goto

step 5 (calibration and guiding, enable dither or not )

step 6：auto run（set your auto run schedule and run it）

step 7 can set "mount go to zero position or turn off asiair when you start an auto run in step 6)

I could not figure out the correct procedure for this looks as if i will be getting ASI294MC PRO sooner that way I can use ASIAIR to its full potential.

Hi Rob

Yes,2.4Ghz offers coverage for farther distance,but performs at slower speed than 5Ghz and the extender may cause some uncertainties result.

When you get an image from ASIAIR and render the image on your phone, it depends on the speed of the phone, in addition to the wifi speed.
