ASI120MM Not Streaming on Windows 10?

I recently started using my (older) ASI120MM as a guide camera. I had used for about 2 years (under Windows 7) until I bought the ASI174mini. I have since gotten a new laptop with Windows 10 and now that same ASI120MM that used to work just fine won't stream video in SharpCap, FireCapture, or PHD2 in 16-bit mode, full resolution, 2-4 fps. It does work in 8-bit mode at full resolution, or in 16-bit mode at lower resolution. I have the latest drivers. Is there a solution to this problem?

If this is the ASI120MM (USB2 version) then you may experience problems since it is not fully compatible with the USB2 specifications. You can try to flash the firmware and see if that solves the issue. If it is the ASI120MM-S (USB3 version) then it should work as is.

Yes, I agree with Wouter, you can try to refresh the firmware.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the is the original USB2 version.

Other than using the latest drivers (ASCOM and native), which I have been, how does one "flash the hardware"?

ASI120 is an very old camera, it may have some problem when using with some computers.

You can try this tool to refresh the firmware.
