071 slight issue

Just testing out a new 071 camera and I appear to get an odd pattern to the bottom right of the picture . Not sure if this is calibration in pixinsight or what is going on ? Any ideas ? This was calibrated with a master dark and no bias or flat frames yet.

Hi Ken,

Sorry for the problem, it seems like the camera is getting dew.

Can you turn off the cooling and try again?

If it does not appear when the cooling is not turned on, that should be dew.

You can try cool the camera slowly and gradually with 5 degrees decrement.

And you can also redry the camera by following this guide.

I did cool gradually in APT but maybe I’m going too low ?? I also had the anti dew heater working.

I’ll have a further look this weekend.

Looks like I have found the issue. At 0c I don’t get the problem so it’s looks like it was dew after all. I’ve also tried at -12 instead of -15 and that appears to show dew on the first 3 images and then disappears. Is that the anti dew heater starting to work ?

The anti-dew heater cannot solve this problem, please follow the guide to redry the camera.

The anti-dew heater is to prevent the dew, it can be heated to have certain effect of anti-dew. You could try redry the desiccant.
