I received the asi294 a few weeks ago and was finally able to try it out on 9-17-2019. There was a 91% waning moon so I used my Optolong l-enhanced filter on my explore scientific ed102 with an astrotech .8 reducer/field flattner. I took 3 hours of 3 minute subs at unity gain of the pacman nebula, 40 flats at 25000 adu and 11 darks. Earlier in the week I made a dark library of 30 180s darks at 0c. All images on the night I imaged the pacman nebula where taken at 0C, ambient was around 27C. The first stacking was with deepskystacker using the 11 darks and then redone using the dark library the resultant images looked okay. I then used batch preprocessing in pixinsight and got a purple and green image as a result, totally unusable. I then redid the pixinsight stack manually and got a good image, not sure why batch preprocessing failed I did it several times with different setting with no good results. One problem doing the stacking manually in pixinsight, using the dark library from a week earlier resulted in a stacked image with some amp glow bleeding through, using the darks from the same night resulted in no bleed through of amp glow.
