I have owned this camera since December 2017. For the first time, last night, the fan stopped working and the TEC cooler abruptly went to only -1 to -6 degrees C instead of the standard -15C. Even at 100 percent, the cooler could not cool the camera. The fan was not running when I checked it in the morning. I did not notice the temperature change until reviewing the data in the morning. The camera was plugged into AC power with an AC/DC power converter at 5A/12V which has been reliable. Power lamp was lit on the camera. Camera was VERY HOT to the touch showing the TEC cooler was running at 100 percent.
Have you had problems with fans failing? Is it a customer serviceable item? I read about other fans stopping due to a hardware problem when plugging in power and USB separately. I tested the camera again and it did not run the fan.
