Following instructions that I now realize are out of date, I tried to find the threaded hole to screw on a desiccant drying plug. Only a shiny black plastic plug was visible and thinking that covered the screw, I pried out the clear rigid plastic piece and damaged the black plastic film beneath it.
What have I done and how do I fix it?
I subsequently found instructions for opening the camera and drying the desiccant so that problem is solved.
