Orion atlas using EQdirect cable

Hello,

I have an Orion Atlas eq-g mount. i want to use the EQDirect cable and am told this will work fine. I will NOT be using eqmod or skysafari software. I will just be using the cable. I just want to polar align, use the ASIAIR to control the mount, use the "tonights best" function, platesolve, sync to the mount to align, and the mount should track successfully?

Will the ASIAIR with just the eqdirect cable and not using eqmod os skysafari software to control the mount, align using the platesolving function and handle all of my gotos and tracking without a handset?

I heard The Orion Atlas EQ-G is the same mount as the EQ6 Pro.

So you can connect it to Asiair by EQmod directly.

The all function is supported by Eqmod connection,including the polar align,"tonight best"，plate solve and guiding and so on
