Back focus question regarding ASI183

Hello,

I'm completely new to this and the ASI183 is my first true camera dedicated to AP.

My question relates to back focus adapters. I expect to take delivery shortly of a stellarvue access 102, f7, 714mm scope.

Currently I'm testing my 183 on a cheaper 500mm/f5.5 scope and using both supplied back focus adapters and right angle finder, ( I realize this is not an ideal set up).

My question is are there longer adapters available or a smarter way to achieve focus without resorting to such a set up?

Hi Steve,

First you need to figure out the backfucus of your telescope, normally it is provided by the scope manufacture.

Then you can arrange the adapter, we have an example of 55mm back focus here for your reference.
