My setup:
• Skywatcher EQ6 -Pro mount with latest firmware.
• ZWO ASI294MC Pro CCD
• ZWO ASIair
• SkySafari 6 Plus – current release
• Pixel 3 smart phone Android 10 (latest release)
My Location:
United States
Keller, Texas
Lat +32.56.02 Long: -97.13.33
ASIair app connects to my mount but there is a problem with location data:
1. In order to perform my initial polar alignment, I enter the above Lat/Long into the mount via SynScan.
a. I perform my polar alignment as usual.
2. Once alignment is completed (I am NOT connected to/using ASIair at this point)
a. I confirm the Lat/Long entry to be correct in the mount via SynScan hanset
3. As soon as I connect ASIair app my Mount’s Longitude setting is changed from -97.13.33 to +97.13.33.
a. I look at the ASIair app Telescope Settings view and I see in the “Sync from Phone” section shows Lat +32.56.02 Long: +97.13.33
i. ASIair reconfigured my mount to use the Eastern hemisphere.
b. In the initial ASIair app Wifi setup area (under Telescope Settings) the Lat and Long are still correct
Seems like this may be a bug when selecting "Sync from Phone" on the Telescope Settings page.
Unfortunately I can not use my new ASIair to connect to my mount until I find a way to replace or remove the incorrect Long: +97.13.33 value.
Is there a configuration file of some sort on the ASIair memory card that holds this value? How can I find it? Can I edit this value directly in some way without causing problems.
Any help/suggestions that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
