V1.3 not have Sync to mount button iEXOS-100 mount

I use iEXOS-100, but ASIAIR V1.3 not have Sync to mount button at TELESCOPE SETTING SCREEN.

and Now I don't go to any target DSO from ASIAIR. ASIAIR send command to iEXOS-100 but it Telescope go to not sky , go to gland every time.

I think ASIAIR and iEXOS-100 not sync, that is why telescope go to wrong direction.

I use ASCOM and ES original soft , it is work correctly.

So ASIAIR forget something to connect with iEXOS-100

I checked iPhone7 and iPadair2

Please confirm this issue.

How to Use the iEXOS100 with ASIAIR

#1 Switch the controlling interface

Follow the below document to change the interface from the default WiFi Port (interface 1) to the Serial Port (interface 0)

Explore Scientific PMC-Eight® Application Note PMC8-AN003: Switching Between the WiFi Interface and the Serial

#2 Connect to the ASIAIR

1. Power on the ASIAIR & iEXOS-100 (in the Park Position - this is with the scope pointing towards the pole and the counterweight straight down)

2. Connect the iEXOS-100 to ASIAIR via a USB cable (Need to buy separately, refer to the above document Page.3)

3. Open the ASIAIR app, go to the Telescope Settings page, choose in the drop-list then tap the right switch to connect

Note: The Serial: USB-RS232 and the Baud: 115200 should be shown before connecting.

So I can use AsiAir slew button. Means connect is OK.

Problem is not showing "Sync to mount" green button by ASIAIR Soft version 1.3.

Can you see "Sync to mount" button?

(1)Version is correct as you said. V 1.3-3,37 (Both Android and iPhone)

(2)Android show "Sync to mount" green button.==> OK

(3) But iPhone and iPad not show "Sync to mount " green button. ==> NG

Please check iPhone version

We did a research on this, and have been confirmed with the ES company, there is no date/time function of the mount, so we did the date/time function based on the ASIAIR server-client, the button on Android version is a bug.

Nope, we can use it, just ignore the date/time options cause the ASIAIR server client can handle them.

When I used ASIAIR old version(V1.2XX), It was good working. but V1.3 is having issue.

Hello Ji,

I can confirm the same issue Taro has. The iexos-100 mount is not syncing properly with the ASIAIR since version 1.3-3.37 came out. The "sync to mount" button in previous version (and the current Android 1.3 version) solves the problem. Otherwise, the mount simply will not provide proper gotos. I've had it actually going on the wrong side of the meridiain to reach a target like M31, with the scope ending up lower than the counterweights with risks of hitting the tripod.

So, I do not understand why you say the Android version is buggy and should not have the Sync from phone button. It actually WORKS and solves the issue when used with my Android phone, whereas with the iPad everything is screwed up. In addition, the ASIAIR should provide the current mount position in the Telescope settings screen, as per previous versions as it was very useful.

So I would suggest you give another look to this issue, despite what ES said to you, as the current iOS version of the ASIAIR software is not useable with the iEXOS-100.
