I have just received my ZWO EOS-T2 adapter. In the box it is also included a flat rubber gasket, what is its purpose ??

They are spacers, can be used to adjust back focus.
Thus, is really necessary to use such extender with ASI178MM and an EOS lens ?

It is stnadard accsories comes with EOS-T2 adapter.
