I have another one. This one could be easier to implement.

So by default the Bit depth is 8bit. I would like to see the default set to 16bit.

Here is why. When shooting at night, if I ever restart my ASICAP it resets itself to 8 bit. This has happened to me now multiple times. I get into my routine and forget to change that one setting. Then all my data is essentially trash. Very frustrating after spending 6hrs collecting data that is useless.

Now planetary photography wont be anything to cry about. Because if you are doing planetary photography and you forget to set it to 8bit you will notice the file size right away and you can change it. After all Planetary photography is something that takes minuts to do. Not hours.

In short I wold rather waist 15min and realize that my planetary photos are to large then spend 6hours and then realize that my 8bit images are no good.
