I've been using the EAF for some sessions now, but today i had some weird behaviour to the point i just had to remove the EAF and focus manually.
Problem went like this:
Connected to SGP. SGP reported position as 65000 and temperature at -273C (zero Kelvin : ). It used to report the same position value as in the ASCOM driver, but i just recorded this as a nuisance for the time being.
Moving in resulted in a beep. Moving out resulted in a beep. Checked the ASCOM values, it said the position was 0 so i guessed that the EAF and SGP weren't talking properly, out of sync or whatever.
Disconnected the USB, plugged in the EAF hand controller. Tried focus in/out, just beeped. Tried slow/fast, just beeped. At this point i removed the EAF, just to focus manually. Wanted to check if it was because of any restriction/friction so i tried the hand controller without the EAF being connected. Still beeped on both in and out. Then, suddenly it moved. Tested if there was any momentum and it was. Fitted it back on the telescope (TSAPO71ED. Not heavy focuser by far). Could focus in/out again. Great.
During autofocus it started beeping again. Tried using the hand controller. Beep. Removed the EAF entirely again. Beep. Beep beep beep.
I dont know, it used to work like a charm the 4-5 nights i have used it so far. Only difference i can think of is that it is -2C outside.
Anyone with similar experienses?
Cheers,
