Excesive ampglow.

Hi, i want to purchase a Asi 1600 MM Pro.

I talked yesterday with my country seller about if the cam have excesive amp-glow and cannot be solved calibrating the images, my seller David of www.telescopiomania.com say that ZWO dont cover this fail and dont change by another cam.

I want some guarantee before purchase the cam about the possibility of excesive amp glow.

Is true that if i purchase a 1600 MM Pro and i have the bad luck that the cam have excesive amp glow and cant be calibrated the images, ZWO evade the problem and the guarantee exclude all users of this fail?

Yes or not.

I supose that this that say my seller country is not true and ZWO make a change, but plz i need an answer before purchase the cam.

I have two ASI1600MM-Pro and both have considerable amp glow in the light subs. However, with dark subs taken with the same temperature, same gain, same offset and same exposure time my image processing software (AstroPixelProcessor) gets rid of that 100%. As a matter of fact, I shoot all my i ages at the same temperature, gain and offset and make sure to only use certain exposure times. For those exposure times I have shot sufficient numbers of darks to be able to create master darks for all those exposure times which I can reuse whenever I take images. Works like a charm.

I have also a 174 mm with considerable ampglow and i can solve calibrating with darks.

But can be a minimal possibility that if the cam have a excesive ampglow that is impossible to eliminate in no one way.

In that case i need to know if ZWO guarantee cover this problem and solve the problem.

My country seller of ZWO say that ZWO evade this problem and if a user have a cam with excesive ampglow that cant be calibrated, ZWO evade the problem and dont offer a solve to the user, and user have a brick as a cam.

I just want to know if is true this that my country seller says or ZWO offer a solve in that case and offer a change to an user with a cam with excesive ampglow that cant be calibrated, before to buy a 1600 MM Pro.

Do not worry, it is very common to see the amp-glow, and it can be calibrated out via darks.

Ok i purchased today the Asi 1600 MM Pro kit 1, i asume that the cam will have some ampglow but i hope that the cam dont have excesive ampglow and cannot be calibrated.

I really hope that this dont success.
