EAF advanced unable to manually focus with hand controller

Recently installed the EAF drive, couplings, bracket and installed the software driver. The focuser performed well and above expectations on the laptop while using sharpcap for camera control and driving the focuser.

However, I changed the telescope for visual observations, removed the camera and used an eye piece. The manual hand controller would not move or activate the focuser. It appeared to be dead.

Any suggestions as to what is occurring?

This happened to me as well until I realised that the cable connecting the hand controller to the EAF wasn't plugged in all the way. Please give that a try.

OK will try to reconnect the cable ensuring it is fully engaged

that last 1mm on the cable connector did the trick. I wasn't confident in pushing the cable completely in, by force. Once fully connected all good.

This form, with your information, solved my problem! The hand control was not working. Once I pushed the connectors in farther, it works.
