Hello all, coming over from visual observing and after a long break from the hobby. Thought I would try my hand at AP. I bought the zwoasi290mc a month or so ago and have only had a few times to try it out due to bad weather. My plan is to practice on a bright object, the moon, before attempting any DSO's.
I am using the Celestron 6se with 6.3fr and keep getting this odd grid pattern that looks like it was taken through a window screen. I have tried two different moon filters, no filters, with and without focal reducer and also different back focus.
The grid pattern can be seen before stacking and is extreme after stacking.
I also have the Revolution Imager2 and had no grid pattern when I used it.
I know there is a learning curve and am not expecting Hubble images or what you guys are achieving, but this is frustrating. Any advice would be great.
