Help what am i doing wrong?

So my first night out with the air last night but something was not right. All connectivity ok.both cameras and mount connecting ok. PA i think was ok, but it think i was in the southern hemisphere with SCP showing. I came out of the software and back in and it switched to NCP. Did the PA and got the happy face. GOTO M31 ' object below horizon ' ?? But it wasnt as it was a good 45deg off the horizon?? Tried to do sync with mount in the telescope settings, but the button would not press and the 'phone' word next to it is greyed out? Its as if its in the wrong time zone.

Im sure its me but admittedly i skipped the mount star aligment and jumped straight to the Airs PA. However checking the time and date and location on the mount, it is correct. I would have thought the PA on the air would have determined all of this??

Any help would be great

Could you please send me some screenshots? We have tested the SCP PA function in New Zealand so maybe some settings were not correct. @ ji@zwoptical.com

I will do. Would this mess up the whole navigation of the sky? I thought the PA procedure recognised the constellations for orientation of the sky?

The SCP and NCP seems to randomly switch with the air app sometimes starting with default SCP then changing to NCP when i go to preview and back to PA.

Ok i found what i did wrong . Under mount settings i had my location as south rather than north. This would make the goto object all wrong and the PA screen messed up.

Still not sure why the "sync mount" button doesnt work. Do i need to do a PA or plate solve for this to work?
