ZWO has released the cooled camera ASI533MC Pro featuring the large sensor (1") and an extraordinary high sensitivity/low noise. It is positioned to be used in DSO, hence is cooling.
It could find the application in videoastronomy (EAA). For this, it does not need cooler. It will be cheaper, lighter, and smaller.
So far, the recommended cameras for EAA are 224MC (385MC), 183 MC, and 294MC -- in the order of increasing sensor size. The 385 is too small for alignment. The 183 has a sufficiently large sensor, however the pixels are too small (not as sensitive and deep). The 294 has an even larger sensor, and good sensitivity. However, it might be too expensive. There is a need for an intermediate-sized sensor of the 183 size, but with the larger pixels. The uncooled 533MC could be it.
