The Zwo EAF works great with my WO Zenithstar 103. It was easy to install and setup.
My only problem is the power supply.
I use a 12v AGM battery and the voltage fluctuates somewhat (as these type of batteries do). However, I cannot find details in any of the Zwo information on the voltage tolerances of the EAF.
From other Zwo users, I have gleaned that using a battery is fine and that a voltage of between 11.5vdc and 15vdc is fine. Other users report that 12vdc should be provided via a regulated supply.
Should I use the battery, I can equip it with a 1 or 2 amp fuse, but am still a little worried. Seems to me that a well designed product would have taken into account the various power sources used by astronomers.
Any ideas?
