6200 Backfocus Optical or Mechanical

I´m just trying to find the correct backfocus for our new 6200.

The drawing says 17.5mm with the tip tilt plate, without it that should be 12.5mm

The ccd window is 2mm, and I assume the IMX455 has a 1mm coverslip, that would make about 1mm difference optical.

Long story short, is the specified backfocus optical or mechanical?

ZWO at one time mentioned that the flange focal distance is spec'ed to +/- 0.5 mm.

So, in any case, you will need to measure the sample of their camera that you got. You cannot depend on ZWO when it comes to quality control, or accuracy of spec sheets.

Chen
