ASIAIR goto issues after firmware update

Just updated firmware to 1.4 and now my goto function is not working. It will display the RA and DEC of the object then attempt to go to a different RA and dec once I hit the goto button. I’ve reset to factory settings on mount but no luck figuring it out. I have a Skywatcher EQ6-R. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem after update to 1.4 and there confirmed by Sam that there is a bug with synscan connected through rs232 and eq6r mounts.

Checkout previous posts from 4411 re eq6r and iOS update problems.

I am having success with connecting my Asiair via eqmod under mounts menu and selecting pc direct on the synscan hand controller. Disadvantage is that SkySafari does not work but I think there is a fix for this by using eqmod with SkySafari in drop down mount menu then changing the connection settings but I haven’t tried it yet.

We will have to wait for another upgrade to fix this bug.

Yes, there are some bugs on SynScan, so we recommended using EQMOD.
