I've just been struggling through setting up my new ASIAir. The lack of documentation is dreadful and makes what is promised to be a simple task into something very difficult.
Anyway, I was trying to get to the state where my NEQ6 mount, using EQMOD, could be driven by SkySafari (Pro). Everything I could find on the internet said this was impossible but I found that, by selecting "EQMOD with SkySafari" as the mount type, there appeared a little information icon. Clicking on this gives instructions on how to set up SkySafari to drive the ASIAir for GOTO. (Strangely, it involves selecting, in SkySafari, the mount type as a Meade LX200 Classic and changing the port number, whatever type of mount you have physically).
It works!
Quite why this information has been hidden away like this I cannot say. I wonder what other mysteries I'll discover as I go along.
