ASI294 pro

I usually take all my DSO shots at gain of 120, temperature minus 20.

To increase signal, I extend exposure time, say up to 600secs with an Optolong Enhance filter and end up with stackable frames with near zero noise.

If I were to increase the gain to 350, the gain/read noise graphs indicate little change to S/N

Is this the case? Can I double the gain and achieve the same as doubling exposure time ?

Nikon dslr experience tells me this is not correct, but can you comment please ?

Increasing the gain means loosing dynamic range.

If your frames look good: Don‘t change anything. ;-)
