Does the measurement for the sensor distance from the front face of the camera (taken from the drawings in the manuals) include any of the optical effects of the sensor windows (lengthening the effective optical distance) or is it purely a mechanical measurement?
Also, can you give me some indication of the overall tolerance stack for the measurement? The ASI 6200 (specific model I have purchased) gives a distance from the front face to the sensor silicon of 17.5mm -- what is the plus / minus (+ / -) that I can expect around this number in a typical production camera?
