This is more a question for ZWO (if they view the questions on this board), but please feel free to comment.
The current warranty for a product purchased from ZWO is 2 years and as per their T&Cs they will replace / repair said product if its DOA. The customer is however responsible for P&P which obviously adds an additional cost to already what we've paid for the product.
Now, as we know the ASIAIR and ASIAIR PRO is based on the Raspberry Pi3 and Raspberry Pi4 and considering they've already discontinued the original product line barely after launch (which I was not too happy about), there is the posssibility of ZWO lanching another ASIAIR, once a better Pi comes along...
With the ASIAIR, if the device develops a fault, I think its much cheaper (especially when its out of warranty) to replace the internal Pi3 yourself and get ZWO to provide a new license (compared to the time and cost of shipping the device to ZWO)
With the ASIAIR PRO, its not too dissimilar (PI4 boards will be available for a long time, even if ZWO discontinue the line), but the ASIAIR PRO has an additional PCB board that is the concern of this post (see image below)

This is labelled as the ASI_AIR v1.3 (QASIAIR191220)
Can this board be purchased seperatly if the ASIAIR PRO develops a fault. As stated, the Pi4 is an off the shelf item, so not too worried about that developing a fault, but the GPIO connection board with the additional power jacks, I expect that to fail before the Pi (with all the connections in/out) so it would be useful to know that instead of shipping the entire unit to ZWO (the ASIAIRPRO still works with the PCB board NOT attached), whether (during the 2 year warranty period, we can just send that back and out of the warranty period, if they can supply that board for a price or even sell that board on their site??
Thanks
Asif.
