I have an original Asiair purchased in October 2019. Using a ZWO294mc-pro purchased at the same time as a main camera.
In the last 2-3 weeks, I receive the message that my device has changed and to replug my camera and set it up manually. Occasionally that works, most times not. Rebooting everything seems to work but the device change seems to occur and drop the camera within about 3-4 minutes.
What I've tried:
(Several times)
New usb cables
New power supplies
New power cables for everything
Plugging into different ports
Starting ONLY the Asiar and the 294 camera with nothing else attached
Results =3-4 minutes tops before the camera drops off.
I brought the camera inside and hooked it directly to my laptop to make sure the camera was working as it should. It ran fine over an hour with no troubles while being tested inside.
This leads me to believe the camera is probably fine.
I attached a Canon 6dm2 camera to the Asiair and it connected just fine and did not drop out. Neither did my ZWO 120 when I used that as a main camera.
It appears that the problem only occurs when I attach my 294 to the Asiair so the trouble is between those two somehow. I'm at a loss to explain why it detects the camera for 3-4 minutes and why this started so recently. It's been working relatively fine for some time now but I would guess it was mid-late April that this all began.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've seen these symptoms in other posts including the Facebook Asiair chat forums. Wondering what my solution might be?
Regards,
Matt
