Is it definitely safe to power the 533MC Pro off the Asi Air Pro? I've read conflicting reports. Some say yes others say they wouldn't.

I don't want to fry my camera or Air Pro.

Can I have a Zwo answer on this if possible?

Yes, it's safe.

When you finish imaging, you could turn off the power on the ASIAIR software first, then wait about 5 second, power off the ASIAIR PRO at last.

Thanks, does this include powering the cooling off the Air Pro or should that be done off a separate source?

If your cooler was powered by ASIAIR Pro, yes, this include powering the the cooling off the ASIAIR Pro.

Brill. I haven't got either the Pro or the camera yet

. I should be receiving them next week so wanted to check.

I read reports that cooling should be run off a separate 12v power source.

If I run the camera and the cooling off the Air Pro how many amps do they use?

It is determined by the cooling power. It will not higher than the 3 amps which in the output on the ASIAIR PRO.

To add to this.

I now have my 533MC Pro and my Air Pro and ran the Air Pro off a 17ah power pack with the camera and the cooling connected to the Air Pro and it blew a Lynx Astro cable rated to 10amps with a 5amp blowout fuse.
