Connecting ASIAIR PRO to DSLR

I have recently purchased an ASIAIR PRO

I am tring to use a Canon 70D as my main imaging camera.

I have a ZWO camera to run my guiding and the ASIAIR is detecting this - No problem

I can't seem to get the ASIAIR to detect my DSLR. I have tried connecting with a 2.5mm connection from shutter control on the DSLR to the DSLR input on the ASIAIR but this doesn't seem to work.

I have been advised to connect the AV output on the DSLR to a USB port on the ASIAIR., but still no result. This is a standard USB cable, not USB 3.

Can you advise where I am going wrong

You could try use another cable or connect another USB port on the ASIAIR PRO.

I am having the same issue ( and I also see several users on cloudynights claiming DSLR keeps disconnecting). In my case it is Nikon D5300. It connects ok the first time, but after I polar align and start guiding, it keeps disconnecting so it is unusable. I wonder, any resolution or hint how to deal with this? I end up using an external intervalometer which defeats the purpose of using ASIAIR...

Hi,
Im having the same issue when trying to connect my Canon T8i or 850D, i tried several USB cables, it works fine thetered to my PC but ASIAir Pro is not detecting it.
What I have done - used several different cables, reset all settings on the camera, I have several USB2 cables, and none works, I tried plugging them on both USB ports in the AAP, and nothing, I always turn the camera on before powering up the AAP. Any suggestions?
