The latest Beta v1.4.4 Firmware 5.55 that just came out may be different yet.
But I think I found a workaround (1.4.4 Beta, Firmware 5.55).
Start with ASIAIR Telescope Setting not selected to any mount.
Go to the RainbowAstro Hubo-i hand controller's Date & Time settings. Set the GMT offset to the Winter UTC offset for your time zone. For example, I am in the Pacific Standard Time Zone in winter, so the proper setting is GMT-08.0.
Now connect ASIAIR to RainbowAstro RST/M700GE-II.
With firmware 5.55, ASIAIR appears to pick up the correct UTC offset sign, but it proceeds to change the sign of the GMT offset on the hand-controller!! The ASIAIR appears to be writing the wrong time zone back into the mount (infuriating).
Go to the Hand controller and you should see that GMT offset sign is now wrong.
Thus, change the GMT offset in the Hand-controller back to the correct sign (e.g. I am in Pacific Standard Time in Winter, so I set it back to GMT-08).
As long as you do not disconnect and reconnect to the mount, you should now be able to use this setting for the rest of the night.
A GOTO that is executed from ASIAIR now recognizes the meridian properly and (after correcting the hand controller offset), the mount has the proper Sidereal Time and thus proper Meridian and Horizon limits.
So, at least this might be a workaround, albeit, the hand-controller has to remain connected to make the corrections.
Good Luck,
Chen
