EGAIN Settings

I have a question related to EGAIN values. If I take lights, flats and darks at the same gain/offset, should the EGAIN values in the FITS header be the same?

I am seeing different EGAIN values for Lights taken at the same exposure time, temp, gain and offset so I am curious. I am using 178MC Cool.

Sorry for the late response. Yes, the EGAIN values is the same.

No problem - thank you very much for confirming. So if the EGAIN values are different, as they were, but the gain was listed as the same, should I be concerned, or is EGAIN only informational in the FITS header?

The EGAIN is only the informational in the FITS header, you don't have to concern it.
