@Tech@ZWO#59031 Guiding will work fine for some time and then for no apparent reason either Dec or RA will go crazy. I then have to recalibrate to get it to settle down again. There seems to be no reason for this. It doesn't happen with PHD2. No point to ask me for logs as I have stopped using the asiair. As I said, I will not go back to it until I see a big improvement. I am quite happy with NINA and PHD2. These softwares give far superior results, especially the autofocus.

I can´t understand why you would not let users of Asiair use the fully compatible Indi drivers of other focusers. I own many Zwo Asi cameras and I will not swap my Celestron focuser on my C11 just to be able to use Asiair. Please rethink your strategy, here. I am not asking to open Asiair for all other equipment, but at least for the focusers of same brand scopes.
Asiair is using drivers for non-Asi mounts and - surprisingly - also SLR cameras from e.g. Nikon and Canon.

DirkT This way ZWO get to sell more of their hardware. Don’t think they’ll change this (for them) winning strategy.

ZWO… why not do something like this for 3rd party focusers- in regards to me, celestron. Allow the ASCOM/indi drivers through and then on your side (ZWO/ASI app) allow only a manual focus option for third party focusers then lending all the elite auto focusing features strictly to the ZWO EAF.

This way, at least for the interm, us celestron focuser peoples can still partially use our focusers AND still use the ASIairproduct all while allowing the future temptation to “upgrade” to the EAF??

Just a thought…. Kind of a win-win
