Odd color capture with 183MC Pro

Hello Everyone,

I'm having some color issues in trying to work with my 183mcp. I'm seeing color results the look like infrared almost and the colors cycle through all manner of hues in preview mode. I can't find any mentions regarding it in the manuals but had relegated it to indicating an over exposure. I've tried capturing in all the ASI apps for cameras and also with Astroimager to no avail.

I'd appreciate your comments... I'm really disappointed because I've barely worked with it.

There seems to be a problem with the color balance, Please adjust the white balance to make the color right.

That is my problem... the color settings in the application are set to auto balance and the enclosed pictures reflect the result.

My latest response from ZWO now indicates I need an iR cut filter... but I've never needed one before and can't find an option in my ASIMG apps.

I'm perplexed...

Hi Steve,

Please adjust the color balance, normally it can solve the problem.

IR cut filter can help the camera get a more precise color.:) You can consider if you need this.
