I just ordered ioptron gem45 and would like to know if it can be connected directly to asiair or you have to connect it through hand controler.

Hey Andrej, you can buy it without doubts, many users are using GEM45 now with v1.4.4.

Do I have to make 3 star align or I can use it as eqmod for skywatchers?
I’ve been using it with my CEM40 with no problems. If you are using the go-to feature within the ASIAir interface there shouldn’t be a need to do a 3 star alignment. At least that’s my experience.

Hey Andrej, iOptron mounts can not use EQMOD way. Only thru the HC or new ones thru the USB port on the mount body.
