Hello,
Hoping someone can help me with this issue. Am running the ASI071MC using Sequence Generator Pro. The camera seems to be working fine and I am using the anti-dew feature to keep moisture off the window. When the imaging sequence is complete, the settings are checked to warm the camera to 20C. This usually happens fairly quickly. Then I disconnect the cam and all other equipment from the software (remotely with wifi) and usually sleep until after dawn or mid morning.
However when I check the cam several hours later, it is extremely hot to the touch and the fan is not running. I am not sure what the temp is but I estimate perhaps 140F/60C. Once I disconnect 12V power the camera will begin to cool. To avoid this overheating I must remember to disconnect from the power source after the warming sequence completes.
This situation has me concerned that the camera will burn up or something will melt. Could this be the anti-dew feature not turning off or something else? Right now I have to wake myself at the time the sequence completes and camera warms or the heat keeps cranking. Perhaps I should just keep the camera cold until I can doing everything without automation.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John
