New Desiccant Tablets

Hello,

I ordered and received a new set of desiccant tablets for my camera. They are sealed in an air tight pack. Do I have to put them into the microwave before installing them?

Also, I am having trouble understanding the Humidity indicator that came with them as it says:

Examine item if Pink 50% tablet purple

Change Desiccant if Pink 40% tablet purple-pink

Attention if Pink 30% tablet pink

So if it is purple, is still OK - 50% effective? If it is pink, change it because it is only 30% effective?
