I now got EAF integrated in my setup in ASIRAIR and tried it once, more in manual mode. There is a bug with focus screen which should be fixed in the next release of teh ASIAIR firmware.
I have a few suggestions on how EAF is integrated in the ASIAIR UI.
1. I think the arrow buttons of the motor control on the main Focus screen used to rotate the motor in both directions and in both speeds (fast and slow) should react on a long press and in this case keep the motor going. Basically working the same as the hardware buttons on the hand controller. Currently it costs almost a fortune to move the focus over a larger distance.
2. I suggest to add a marking for the current position with the possibility to reset it, e.g. by pressing the "Stop" button. For example, it would show zero then. On each step upwards it would increment and downwards decrement. If the user press stop it is reset to zero. This would be a big help to co-relate the move of the focus with changes in the preview. Currently, a similar counter is available in the Focuser section of the settings. I guess, it would not be a big deal to show such a counter on the main screen of the Focus.
Thanks!
