Hi, is there any update on this topic? I think it's a very hot point since Rasa is getting very popular and there's still some uncertenty around SCT bracket and Rasa; me too just bought the SCT 8" bracket thinking it was ok for my Rasa, but it seems there's no final confirmation about compatibility.
What I see is that the bracket does mount perfectly on Rasa 8" focuser in horizontal position (only). Given that the horizontal position is not fantastic since the braket goes outside OTA's diameter, I'm warried about this point: EAF center of mass lies farer from the focuser plate than the original Celestron Motor Focuser because EAF's motor lies in front of the focuser instead of below. That applies more torque on the focuser appliance than the original Celestron focuser and I'm worried this could damage Rasa's focus system.
Do you think this is the case? Any hint or experience to share?
