EAF on ASIAir Fine/course-no difference

I've seen this problem discussed either here or CloudyNights but I can't seem to find it.

I just received the EAF motor and connected to my 1st gen Air.

I've changed the adjustment numbers for course and fine and nothing changes it.

Both course and fine buttons move the focuser the same speed.

Yes, the speed is the same. But the steps it runs is different.
