After a couple of nights of proper operation, on night three autoguiding stated going badly. I’m using ASIAIR Pro with the latest firmware release (1.4.4). My primary camera is an ASI183GT, my guider is an ASI183MM and I’m running the app on a recent iPad.
Symptoms:
1) The Guide function’s Image Refresh button generated the word “looping” but no new images were appearing. (I confirmed that the guide camera was working properly by temporarily setting it as my main camera and successfully imaging with it in ”Preview” mode.)
2) After reconnecting the guide camera to a different ASIAIR port I got the Looping function to work again, but then after manually selecting a guide star then pressing the Start Calibration button I got the message “All equipment must be connected first”. That message made no sense as everything WAS connected! I even re-started the app just to reset its runtime variables in case it got into a “bad state”. Nothing helped.
