I downloaded and installed the driver version 3.0.0.11 on my Windows 10 PC. (The PC has all the latest Windows updates installed)

The installer package shows it has successfully installed.

Plugging in any of my 2 new ZWO cameras pops a windows message that the device is being installed. A while later the message pops up to say the device is ready to use. (This only happens the first time a camera is plugged in)

Running the ASICAP program does not find any of the cameras.

In device manager it show the camera under "other devices" with a warning triangle. Clicking on the triangle it says "The drivers for this device are not installed" The correct version of the camera is shown.

Search for a new driver does not find anything.

Please help, I would dearly like to use my new cameras before our rainy season in South Africa starts

Hello,

Not sure if its related but I had a similar experience today. Normally when installing a camera driver you need to confirm and start the installation but during the install it will also prompt again to install the actual low level driver.

On my first attempt today it didn't do this. The driver installed fine but it never asked to install the actual driver. I then ran the installer again and choose repair. This time I got the prompt to install and after that all was fine.

Maybe it helps.

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your input.

I uninstalled, re-installed, installed as administrator and "repaired" the installation a number of times. All were unsuccessful.

I hope I will get a reply from Zwo support soon

Well, I can get the drivers to install OK, but I get dropped frames and disconnects with my ASI6200MM-Pro. This was all working fine until the upgrade to the latest drivers, and now it seems no combination of roll-back on the drivers will work with either SharpCap or SGPro. I am dead in the water now.

Tom

I downloaded the driver on the 20th and had no success. I see a new driver (with the same version number??) was posted on their web on the 21st. That one now seems to be working correctly.

I wish the support team would have at least acknowledge the problem and informed us about the new post.

5 days later

I'm so sorry for the problem.

I made an mistake in version 3.0.0.10. The driver cannot run correctly on Win10. We made an emergency fix and released version 3.0.0.11.

We didn't remind everyone in the forum in time. I'm sorry for that.

Your suggestions are the best driving force for us to move forward. We will learn from them and try our best to fulfill our mission: To make astrophotograghy simple and interesting

Thank you.

Thank you for your willingness to improve and help.

I now have full confidence in the product again
