ZWOASI2600MC Gain settings

I image from both Bortle 8 light polluted City suburban skies and Bortle 3 dark rural skies

My 2600MC camera is controlled by APT using Ascom

I normally use Highest Dynamic Range in Ascom at both imaging locations ( Bortle 8 location I use a ZWO 2” Duoband filter )

Should I experiment and use other gain settings in either location or just use Highest Dynamic Range all the time

Await your advice on gain settings for the 2600MC

You can try use Unity gain. And you can get lower read out noise, high dynamic range in this setting.

I took your advice and decided to try Unity again so I opened the Ascom camera choose in APT and selected Unity Gain but the gain and offset values were exactly the same as Highest Dynamic Range values ( Gain 0 offset 10 )

This doesn’t seem correct ?

Unity Gain should have different gain and offset values to Highest Dynamic Range in Ascom

Am I doing something wrong ?

This is correct. You can see the graph of this camera in the attachment, the GAIN (e-/ADU) is 0.76 e-/ADU when the gain is 0, it means this camera does not have Unity Gain, the gain 0 is Unity Gain of this camera.
