I have two different PC's in my observatories. Both of my PC's are running Windows 10 and are current with Microsoft updates. The older one serves cameras attached to my 7.25" Schupmann in one of my observatories, the newer one (otherwise identical in hardware to the older PC) serves cameras attached to my C14 in the other observatory.
When I purchased the ASI183MC last year, it ran properly on the older PC using whatever drivers I had downloaded at that time from the ZWO Supposr software page using either ASICAP or Firecapture. The same was true with the ASI294MC I just bought. However, neither of the two cameras work with Firecapture on the newer computer. They do work with the programs in ASI Studio, and, my older cameras such as the ASI224MC and ASI120MC work with both Firecapture and ASIStudio on the new computer. When I got the ASI294MC a few weeks ago, I downloaded and re-installed all the software recommended for ASI cameras on the ZWO support software page. I am clearly missing something on the new computer but don't know what. Is there a folder I can examine in the ZWO software installations on both computers to compare what I have managed to install? I got it right on the older computer, but apparently did not on the newer one.
I intend to use software in ASIStudio for Deep Sky imaging with the C14, but I prefer to use Firecapture for lunar and planetary imaging since it is compatible with my file structure and names my processed images appropriately for usingt WinJUPOS, besides I am very familiar with it and not with ASICAP.
