Reverting back from Beta to Production on an iPad

So I un-installed the Beta (too many bugs and AF still not 100%) and re-installed the latest production version for the iPad. After launching the production app I get the message along the lines of, "miss-matched firmware, please update". How does one revert back to the production firmware? Thank you.

Simple, just restore a micro-SD card to a version of the firmware that you had saved before the Beta software had updated the existing micro-SD card.

When you run the released 1.4.4 software, that old firmware will be updated to what the release software needs.

Having never backed up the production firmware (my oversight/ stupidity) I will use this procedure, which only became known to me this morning.
