ASIAIR Pro LiveView support for Canon

Hi - v1.5 of the ASIair App dropped support for LiveView focussing with my Canon EOS 70D. The feature used to work like a charm for me and made focussing with a Bahtinov mask a breeze - I know some other Canon users have the same issue - is there any chance of re-instating the feature in further updates?

Sorry for the inconvenience, we have change the Live View focusing to single frame focusing. And the effect is better than before.

Hi - thanks for getting back to me. I tried the new single frame focussing last night and I can't see any difference in quality from LiveView, only now I get annoying delays between images loading and I am unnecessarily adding to my shutter count...is there a technical reason why LiveView isn't optional anymore? Loving the setup otherwise - keep up the good work

Hi torbenschacht, I just bought an asiair and I am still in tests, I know that it is not the topic you are commenting on but I have a canon 70d like you, I do not know if I do something wrong, the problem is that although I have selected the option to save the photos In the dslr camera, it does not save any, is it normal? happens to you too? the firmware version of the camera is the latest known 1.1.3. thanks and regards.

javier Hi Javier - yes, running the same camera firmware here...what mode are you shooting in? I noticed the ‘save to camera’ option only works for the ‘autorun’ sessions, not for pics taken in preview or focus mode (though preview pics are saved on the ASIAIR memory stick). Also I don’t think any individual Live Stacking exposures are saved (not totally sure about that - I haven’t really used that feature) Hope that helps - Clear Skies! -T.

Hi, thanks for your response. I've seen that it really only records them in autorun mode. I tried it in preview and I didn't see anything recorded, I was surprised. Another question that I have, do you know if it is possible to make an alignment on another star that is not the polar one? To be able to use tracking, from my house I barely see the polar and I was thinking of using another known visible star, would it be possible? Greetings.
