I am wondering what the best method is to connect my Asiair Pro to my Celestron Evolution mount? I don't have a home network at the moment so wondering if a mini-usb cable to the hand controller of the Evolution mount is the way to go? If so, are there any setting in the Asiair app that need to be changed to make the connection work? Thank you! p.s. I would also like to know how to control the Evolution mount via wifi through the Asiair app so that once I get a home network, I can control it that way.
USB to hand control works fine. Just do a quick align with the evolution, plate solve with the air, and off you go.
Thank you! Is it when the plate solve is done that the Asiair app takes over and figures out where the scope is pointing? Also, I will check again next time I am out, but is there any option to select for Evolution mount and is it necessary to select for it?
Yep, the AIR takes over after the plate solve. As far as setting, I dont recall if there's an evolution or if you just use the nexstar option. I only messed with it a couple of times, but it worked great.
