Here is some extra data on connecting the ASIAIR Pro's LAN port directly to an eero Mesh Network node.
I tested with a folder with 10 FITS files that are saved from an ASI2600, totaling about 470 MB. I copied the files from the the Samba server on the ASIAIR (smb://192.168.7.xxx) to a MacPro (running MacOS X 10.11.6).
With ASIAIR Pro connected to its own eero Pro router's LAN port, and with the Mac connected to a different eero Pro router's LAN port, the file copy took 18 seconds, or about 208 Mbps. This is how I typically use my ASIAIR Pro (both ASIAIR Pro and a dedicated eero node are mounted in an ABS NEMA box that sits at the base of my tri-pier).
With ASIAIR Pro and the Mac both connected to the LAN ports of the same eero Pro node, the file copy took about 10 seconds, or about 370 Mbps. Presumably the data does not have to go through the wireless backbone of the network in this case.
The MacOS cache was cleared between the two tests.
The Mac end runs an SSD, and the ASIAIR Pro end runs a USB Flash Drive (Patriot 256GB Supersonic Rage Elite USB 3.1) that claims to do up to 400 MB/sec, so neither drive should be a limiting factor.
While it does not get to the full 950 Mbps of what a Raspberry Pi 4 is capable of, the ASIAIR Pro is doing OK; the limitation on an eero network appears to be the link between one mesh node and a second mesh node.
